Artists Statement
Sunrises and sunsets contain a few precious magical moments when the light is transformed into outer worldly colors. As a photographer I strive to capture those fleeting moments and transform them to special images. Photographing wildlife requires knowledge of their behavior and significant patience to capture them at a unique moment and setting. The ultimate challenge is the convergence of wildlife and landscapes to create a special image that expresses both.

Resume

My photography passion started in September 2002 when I sold my first photograph at a photo exhibit in Rockport, MA. The excitement of producing a work of art that someone wanted to add to their art collection convinced me that I should leverage my ability to combine an artistic eye with the current camera technology. I purchased my first digital camera that summer and I have never gone back to film. The convergence of software/computer/digital camera technology and an artistic sense has led me to the pursuit of ever exciting landscape, wildlife and action photography. As a result, my works are represented in a number of galleries in Massachusetts and Colorado, have been published in magazines and newspapers and have won a number of photo awards.

Retiring from my corporate career (software, engineering and business development) in 2007, I am now able to pursue this passion full time and with much travel in the pursuit of photographic adventures.
